RefundMyTicket is particularly affected by the air transport punctuality. So we decided to measure the airlines reliability in terms of schedules respect (delays and cancellations).
The score we suggest corresponds to a score out of 5 which allows to estimate the confidence you could have on the announced timetables by one airline in comparison to the other ones on the same period. This score allows the passengers to better choose their flights at the time of purchase.
RefundMyTicket helps passengers who suffered from flight delays or cancellations. It’s essential for us to be able to provide the public with an eligibility rate by airline (or by airport).
The eligibility rate is the sum of the +3h delay and cancelation rates. It allows us to estimate the probability the passengers could be eligible to a compensation according to the 261/2004 regulation and depending on the airline and airport they used.
It also allows the airlines and airports to evaluate and compare themselves their own operations reliability.
Rank | Airlines | Punctuality score | Compensation eligibility rate | Trend | +1h delays rate | +3h delays rate | Cancellation rate |

The punctuality score allows to compare the delay rate of one airport to the one of 50 other European airports.
The punctuality rate of an airline evaluates the airline punctuality compared to the punctuality score of the other airlines that operate at least one flight in Europe.
The compensation rate corresponds to the cancellation rate more the +3h delay rate of the airport or airline for the whole year. It doesn’t take into account the sur-booking or the missed flight due to delays of less than 3h.
