For all those who dreamed of seeing a plane from space
The photo was taken from the International Space Station in July 2015.
This is Great Exuma, the largest island of the archipelago of the Bahamas Exumas. It was photographed at 400 km altitude. It is seen by astronauts “as one of the most recognizable places in the world” because of its diversity of colors and relief. In this regard, NASA says the photo was retouched to highlight the contrast.
In the center, we see a plane followed by two contrails escaping from its engines. If you still don’t see it, here is a red arrow :
